It contains mandelic acid, an alpha hydroxy acid known in cosmetics for its gentle surface-renewing action, helping to improve skin texture and the appearance of pores and minor imperfections with continuous use. Zinc gluconate complements the formula as a regulating active, especially valued for skin prone to shine or small irregularities, while dimethicone and cetyl alcohol provide conditioning and a soft feel without drying. Emulsifiers such as glyceryl stearate and PEG-100 stearate ensure a homogeneous texture, and xanthan gum together with the hydroxyethyl acrylate/sodium acryloyldimethyl taurate copolymer stabilize the product and contribute to even application. The presence of phenoxyethanol and ethylhexylglycerin acts as a usual preservative system in cosmetics, while the fragance/parfum includes aromatic components such as limonene, linalool, hexyl cinnamal and citral, which should be considered by people with very perfume-sensitive skin.
